Handicapping Seminar/Contest Travels to Villa Park OTB

Arlington’s popular handicapping seminar/contest series goes on the road this coming Saturday, June 15.  The event, which offers a top prize of a trip to Las Vegas or $1,500, will be held at Arlington’s Trackside OTB located in Tavern on North (Avenue) in Villa Park.

The facility, built especially as a combination OTB and restaurant, opened just two years ago.  It is a premier facility in Arlington’s stable of betting parlors.  The location is just west of Route 83, and the Ike Extension (290) has a North Avenue interchange.

Of particular interest to us is the fact that Trackside Villa Park has a banquet room that we use for our seminar and contest.  The banquet room conforms very nicely to a classroom and is outfitted with 16 big screen HDTV’s.  Fans can also take advantage of the central bar area seating (and watch a 100” HDTV monitor!), the teletheater, or the Gold Card Room for Gold card holders.

The handicapping contest this Saturday awards a trip to Las Vegas to play in the March, 2014, Boyd Casinos Horse Player World Series (HPWS) to the contestant with the highest final total on his/her contest betting card.  The top prize, referred to as ‘The Las Vegas Trip,” includes the paid entry into the HPWS, hotel accommodations, and a travel voucher.  The 2013 HPWS presented a top prize of over $300,000 and the top 60 finishers won cash.

The handicapping contest is free to enter.  Simply exchange $100 for a contest wagering card and run your balance up as high as you can.  The balance on the card is always yours.  You only need to make a minimum of one wager, and you only need to wager a minimum of $100.  You can choose from all Thoroughbred races that start between 11:15 AM and 6:30 PM.  You can make any wager offered at the tracks you choose.  It’s just like a day at the races, therefore, if you are going to bet $100 anyway, you owe it to yourself to enter.

We want to send you to Las Vegas, but you must get in it to win it!
