Mr. D's Sports Bar - OPEN During the Off Season
Mr. D's, Arlington Park's Chicago-themed sports bar, is a fan favorite during the live racing season. But the excitement doesn't stop in the off-season. So stop in to catch your favorite sports team and watch and wager on top racing from around the country!
Mr. D's Sports Bar will be closed on Friday February 1, 2013 for a private event. Please go to Arlington Park Trackside on the corner of Wilke Road and Euclid Avenue for all of your sports, racing, and dining needs!

Handicappers yet to qualify for the 2013 Coast Casino's Horseplayer World Series (HPWS) need not despair. On Saturday, Feb. 2 Trackside Off-Track Betting in Villa Park is offering a last-chance contest to earn a berth to the HPWS. In addition, handicapper Scott McMannis will conduct a seminar beginning at 11:30 a.m.
All players need to do to participate is purchase a $100 contest wagering card at the registration table and wager on at least one Thoroughbred race with a scheduled post time before is 6:30 p.m. Central time.
At the end of the contest, the player who has accumulated the highest bankroll (subject to verification) will be the winner of the HPWS berth (a $1,500 value) and $350 to be used toward their travel to Las Vegas for the HPWS later in February where first prize is estimated to be $300,000 and other cash prizes. The winner of this contest must be able to travel to Las Vegas for the HPWS – there is no cash equivalent prize.
The runner-up in the contest will earn a $250 wagering voucher with third-place earning a $100 wagering voucher.
