DRF/NTRA NHC Qualifier at Arlington International

Arlington International  Racecourse will be conducting a two-day live-money handicapping contest on Saturday, Sept. 14 and Sat. Sept. 15, where the winner will receive an expense-paid  berth into the DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship to be held in Las Vegas in January 2014.

All players need to do to participate is purchase a $600 contest wagering card and wager on at least one Arlington International race Registration will begin at 11 a.m. CT and close at 3 p.m. CT.  First post at Arlington both contest days is 1 pm CT

  • Pigskins & Ponies

    The popular "Pigskins and Ponies" contest is back at all Illinois Trackside Off-Track Wagering plus Mr. D.'s Sports Bar inside Arlington International Racecourse and will continue through the end of the regular professional football season.

    Contestants correctly choosing the winners of all races and all games listed on the official entry form, and who have accurately completed the personal information section of the form are considered winners. 

    A winning selection for the professional football game is correctly selecting the team that covers the line as determined by the line listed at www.americasline.com on the Friday preceding the Sunday games.

    The Grand Prize shall start at $1,000. If more than one player selects all eight contests correctly for the week, the entire grand prize money will be split evenly. If no player selects all eight contests correctly for the week, the grand prize money will be carried over to the next week and an additional $250 will be added to the Grand Prize up to a maximum of $3,000 after which no additional money will be added to the Grand Prize pool.

    Each week entries will  be drawn at random for free prizes!

  • DRF/NTRA NHC Qualifier - Day 2

    Arlington Park will be offereing a series of live money handicapping contests during 2013.  Each contest in the series will offer as its top prize a trip to Las Vegas to participate in a national handicapping tournament during the winter of 2014.  Each contest in May - August will offer an expense-paid berth in the Horse Players World Series (or a cash prize of $1,500 if the winner should choose not to go to Las Vegas).  The two-day Sept. tournament will offer as its top prize an expense-paid berth in the DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship (NHC).  Prior to each contest, handicapper M. Scott McMannis will host a one-hour seminar on tournament basics as well as covering selected races from the day's live racing card.
