Junior Jockey Club

Junior Jockey Club teaches children 12 and under about horses and Arlington Park through hands-on activities and giveaways. Membership is absolutely free. Parents can sign up their children at the Junior Jockey Club tent on Sundays or online by clicking here for an application form. This week's JJC activity will be a backstretch tour leaving from the park at 12:00 noon.

A new regular feature for the Junior Jockey Club this year will be the opportunity to meet Jean Laurenz, our track bugler, and learn to play the Call to the Post on a kazoo. The first 15 Junior Jockeys to sign up at 12:00 will receive kazoos and a lesson from Jean on how to play the song. They will then join her in playing the Call to the Post from the Winners' Circle for the next race. Junior Jockeys will be informed of the time and location when they sign up.
