The 2008 live racing season draws to a close this month but there is plenty of action ahead of Closing Day on Sept. 21.
Join us Monday, September 1, for a special Labor Day holiday program highlighted by as many as eight races on the turf as part of the second annual Turf Showcase.
On Saturday, September 6 is Ladies Day both on and off the track with two graded stakes races for the female equine set and special events - spa treatements and milliniers on site - for the ladies in the house. Any woman who wears a fashion hat to the track Sept. 6 will receive a special $3 admission price.
On Sept. 13, join us for a handicapping seminar featuring noted author/handicapper Steve Davidowitz and stay on hand for the Grade III $200,000 Arlington-Washington Futurity for 2-year-olds.
Seniors will be in the spotlight during Seniors Week Sept. 11-14 and the Arlington Heights Community will be honored Sept. 12-14.
The final week of the season is highlighted by the $100,000 Lake Michigan Stakes at 5 1/2 furlongs on the turf on Sat. Sept. 20 and the $100,000 Nancy A. Vanier Illinois Owners Stakes at 1 1/16 miles on the turf on Sun. Sept. 21.
Once the season ends, don't forget that Trackside is open for all your simulcast needs.
