    It will be an “Open House” at Arlington Park when the track will offer free general admission on Opening Day, Friday, May 6, to its customers to kickoff its three-day Opening Weekend Celebration.  In addtion, the first 5,000 people to arrive will receive FREE general admission! In addition, customers can get a hot dog and a draft beer, or a hot dog and a soft drink for a just a PENNY. A penny doesn’t buy much anymore, but at Arlington Park’s “Open House” it goes a long way.

    Saturday, May 7 is one of Chicagoland’s best parties of the year.     Mother’s Day at Arlington Park has become a Chicagoland tradition. The first 5,000 ladies to arrive will receive a free rose, presented by one of Arlington's jockeys. Dining options available include the Million Room International Room and Governor's Room Brunched. Reservations are recommended. There will be Mimosa and Bloody Mary drink specials. Mother’s Day is fun for the whole family. Get a free family picture taken by one of our roaming photographers, and the kids will enjoy the Family Day fun with our petting zoo and pony rides.

    Jockeys Timothy Thornton and Tanner Riggs will be at  Trackside Lockport located inside Fat Sam’s Bar & Grill on Thursday, April 21, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. to meet and greet fans, sign autographs and giveaway promotional items from Arlington Park.  The jockeys will by joined by Arlington Park Track Announcer John G. Dooley.

  • Horses' "Spring Training" Starts at Arlington

    Perfect Brother, a 3-year-old gelding trained by Ingrid Mason, gets a bath outside Barn 7 in the Arlington Park stable area Sunday morning (Apr. 10).  Perfect Brother was among the first horses to ship in to Arlington Saturday evening as the track's stable area opens in advance of the 86-day season at Arlington Park which starts Friday, May 6. The training track is open daily for horses to exercise while the main track is scheduled to open on Sunday, April 17.

  • Night School Every Monday 7:30 p.m.

    Night School lessons are offered FREE every Monday night to any racing fan who wants to learn more about the game. The 40-week season runs through Dec. 19 with 90-minute sessions taking place from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Central time each week. Regular panelists will include Horse Player NOW's Joe Kristufek, Jeremy Plonk and Caton Bredar, and Churchill Downs’ analyst Jill Byrne. Topical experts will be brought in weekly to share their expertise.
