Arilngton Racing Club Expands for 2010

Arlington Park, which introduced a season-long membership program on a limited basis last year, has announced an expanded "Arlington Racing Club" for 2010 with three different packages designed to offer an individual or family significant savings.

Arlington Park will race 91 days in 2010, from Thursday, April 29 through Sunday, Sept. 26. Racing will be held four days per week - Thursday through Sunday - for the entire season with special holiday Monday cards on May 31 (Memorial Day), July 5 (Independence Day observed) and Sept. 6 (Labor Day).

The calendar may say February and there's still a chill in the air, but it's not too soon to mark the calendar for Arlington Park's July 3 "Racing, Music and Fireworks" spectacular. The day's festivities will feature the longest and largest fireworks display not only in the Chicagoland area, but also in Arlington Park's storied history.  Tickets go on sale April 1.

Arlington to Offer 2-Day, Live Money NHC Qualifier July 17-18

Arlington Park will offer handicappers a chance to qualify for the DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship (NHC) to be held in Las Vegas in January 2011 with a two-day "live-money" tournament to held Saturday, July 17 and Sunday, July 18, 2010. In addition, the tournament will offer cash prizes as well as three berths into the national tournament, which in 2010 offered more than $1,000,000 in prize money.

Trackside Spring Handicapping Series at Trackside Lockport March 13

The Trackside OTB Spring 2010 Handicapping Contest Series comes to Trackside Lockport and will be held in conjunction with a handicapping seminar conducted by handicapper M. Scott McMannis, whose daily selections appear in the Chicago Sun-Times.

Announcements

DVDs may be ordered through our on-line form or you may fax in a completed form (under Quick Guide in the Horsemen's section). If you are at Arlington Park, stop by our Horsemen's Relations Office to fill out a form. DVDs may be mailed or be picked up in the Horsemen's Relations Office 10-12 racing days after we receive your order.

All Horsemen Vehicle Decals (necessary for Backstretch access) and barcodes (for Clubhouse admission) will be issued from the Temporary Housing Office, located adjacent to Gate 9 (Stable Gate). You will be required to present your 2009 Illinois Racing Board license to obtain your decal and barcode.
