Starter Analysis
Six-year-old was eased when tailed off in the two and a half mile Ascot Gold Cup in his latest in June when finding the distance on soft ground beyond his limits in his third start after a break of over a year. Son of Giant’s Causeway is a half brother to Grade Three winner Lady Marlboro and has won one of his eight starts on turf but produced his best efforts in defeat when third in the prestigious Ebor Handicap on good ground at York and when narrowly defeated over a course rated good to firm at Newbury in the Group Three Finest Surprise Stakes, both in 2011. Dark bay can be suited by this distance and surface and booking of Kieren Fallon is a plus.
