Starter Analysis

Son of exceptional young turf sire War Front is a half brother to Grade One Hollywood Starlet winner Laragh and was last seen when winning the Duluth Stakes over a mile at Saratoga in July. Three-year-old was very impressive when the useful Howe Great in the Grade Three Hill Prince Stakes, also over a mile, two back showing great acceleration once in the clear after being badly boxed in deep stretch. Colt is now a perfect five-for-five on grass with his lone losses coming when tried on the main tracks at Belmont and Keeneland and is trained by one of the nation’s leading turf trainers Christophe Clement. Mount of regular rider Ramon Dominguez has not been tried at more than a mile but his pedigree indicates that this longer distance should not be a problem and bay, who posted a five furlong work in 58 2/5 at Saratoga ten days ago, can get a good trip running from off an expected decent pace.
