Frustrating closer finished well when runner-up in this event last year and has a record of 13-1-5-2 on the Arlington turf course. Son of Kitten's Joy once again did not quite have enough late when closing late to finish third in the Stars and Stripes Stakes in his latest here in July when making his first start after a short break for trainer Chris Block who wins with 18% of his runners on grass and with 15% in non-graded stakes. Chestnut, who has hit the board without winning in five of his last thirteen outings, will be ridden by leading turf rider Javier Castellano for the first time and is likely to be in contention for a minor award again running from off the pace.
