Trainer: Frank Kirby

Frank Kirby was born on April 7, 1937, in New Mexico.  He is the son of a rancher and grew up around horses and cattle. During his early years, he trained in Phoenix, Nebraska and Colorado; he came to Chicago in 1974 and he and wife Sharon own and operate Hondo Ranch.  Kirby has Won Arlington training titles 30 years apart in 1974 and 2004; he also has training titles at Sportsman’s Park and Hawthorne Race Course. His first Grade I win came when Cloudy’s Knight won the Canadian International in 2007 at Woodbine. Cloudy’s Knight will be his first starter in the Arlington Million.

Jockey: Ramsey Zimmerman

Ramsey Zimmerman started his career in 1996 when he was just sixteen years old. He won his first graded stakes race by the time he was seventeen; he got his driver's license after he got his jockey's license. He most recently finished 5th in the jockey standings at the Fair Grounds meet. He attributes his success on the track to his work ethic and finds his mother to be his hero. In 1998 he was the leading apprentice jockey in Chicago.
