Trainer: George R. "Rusty" Arnold

Arnold was born on March 26, 1955, in Paris, Ky.  He is a third generation horseman who took out his trainer's license in 1975.  His training titles include: Keeneland (Spring ’85, Spring ’86 and Fall ’87) and Churchill Downs (Fall ’87).  His Grade I stakes wins include: 1997 Spinster Stakes at Keeneland with Clear Mandate, the 2001 Test Stakes at Saratoga with Victory Ride and the 2007 Breeders’ Futurity at Keeneland with Wicked Style.  Arlington stakes wins for Arnold include: the 2008 Arlington Handicap with Stream Cat; the 2008 Modesty Handicap with Communique; the 2008 Sea o’Erin Handicap with Karelian; and the 2007 Arlington-Washington Futurity with Wicked Style. Stream Cat will be his first starter in the Arlington Million. Communique will be his first starter in the Beverly D.

Jockey: Julien Leparoux

Leparoux was born on July 15, 1983 in Senlis, France. He moved to Southern California in 2003, to work as an exercise rider for trainer Patrick Biancone, a fellow French native. He began riding at Saratoga in 2005 and was quick to make an impact on the racing scene. Leparoux had a breakout year in 2006 which culminated in an Eclipse Award as outstanding apprentice jockey; his accolades in '06 included two record breaking meets at Turfway Park, meet leading titles at Churchill Downs and Keeneland Race Course, 403 wins and $12,491,316 in earnings for the year, as well as his first stakes win (in February) and first Grade 1 win (in August). The gravy train did not stop in 2007 as Leparoux picked up meet titles at Turfway Park, Keeneland, and Churchill Downs' spring and fall meets; he also won his first Breeders' Cup race in the Juvenile Turf with Nownownow.

Fab Oak Stable is owned by Fabien Ouaki, aged 48 and a resident of Paris, France. Ouaki is the co-owner of the Tati chain of clothing stores in Paris. Ouaki's father raced a successful stable under the Ecurie Jules Ouaki banner; his brother Sylvain now races under their father’s stable name. Robert (Bobby) Hurley and John F. Goldthorpe, along with John Dowd formed Team Derby Dreams Stable in 2003 … Team Derby Dreams and some other original partners paid $120,000 for Stream Cat as a yearling at Keeneland … Fab Oak Stable bought out the other original partners to join Team Derby in joint ownership of Stream Cat
