Pedigree Analysis

Sudan (Ire) is by French highweight Peintre Celebre, who rates as one of the most dazzling winners of Europe's famed Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (Fr-G1) in the past three decades. A son of the great Nureyev, Peintre Celebre swept to victory in the 1997 Prix du Jockey Club (French Derby) (Fr-G1) and Grand Prix de Paris (Fr-G1) before capping his career with a five-length triumph in the Arc. Predictably, his progeny have excelled in long-distance events on the turf.
