Arlington Honors the Chicago Symphany Orchestra & Chicago Moms Mother's Day Weekend May 8-9
For the first time, Arlington Park will host members of the world renowned Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO) on Saturday, May 8, 2010. Families are encouraged to attend The Institute, the education arm of the CSO. Musicians from The Institute will present an innovative program geared specifically for children and parents at the band stage.
In addition, CSO musicians will be performing throughout the track including the Call to Post and in the Winner's Circle. Civic Musicians are young artists who are part of the CSO's training orchestra and will perform at locations around the facility. General Admission for CSO Day at the Races is and $6 if purchased in advance online and $8 at the gate.
Mother's Day at Arlington Park has become a family tradition known throughout the area. This year the park will celebrate Chicago area mothers with several special Mother's Day activities on Sunday, May 9, 2010. Make sure to get your tickets early at www.arlingtonpark.com as tickets go on sale April 1 - General Admission for Mother's Day is $8 if purchased in advance online and $10 at the gate. The first 7,500 ladies through the doors will receive a rose. Families can show their appreciation for Mom this year with a day filled with the excitement of Thoroughbred racing, beautiful surroundings, fun activities and great food.

Mother's Day Brunch in the Million Room - Always the most popular brunch is the Million Room brunch that offers guests a choice of first class food and a great view of horseracing. The buffet is $42 per person and $20 per child.
Mother's Day in the Governor's Room or the International Room - Includes admission to Arlington Park, a Daily Racing Guide, a two hour shared buffet and four-hour Classic Bar, a seat in the Governor's Room or International Room plus horseracing for $65 per person and $25 per child.
Terrace Cafe - Have Mother's Day lunch your way by reserving a table for four in the Terrace Café for $50 and ordering straight from the menu (more traditional lunch offering).
There will also be some great family friendly activities throughout the day including pony rides, a petting zoo and the opportunity for kids to make their mom a special Mother's Day craft.
