Arlington to Host Barrington Appreciation Weekend June 6-8
Arlington Park has a long standing commitment to community involvement and to being a good neighbor. In 2008, Arlington Park will host Community Appreciation Weekends for residents and businesses alike. Arlington Park will honor the Barrington community June 6 - June 8.
The three-day weekend will be highlighted on Saturday, June 7, with an Official Community Appreciation Day when a race will be named for the Barrington community with that day's trophy presentation following the race made by Village President Karen Darch of Barrington. In addition, Barrington will be represented at the track by various Barrington organizations such as police, fire and local charities.
Saturday will also kick off event ticket sales for the second annual Barrington Concours d'Elegance, Legends & Legacies. As Chicago's premier event for classic car lovers, the Concours organizers will feature several classic cars at Arlington Park on June 7th and will offer a $10 discount off event-day ticket prices. Ticket prices June 6 - 8 will include general admission $25 ($35 day of the event); and VIP tickets will be $75 ($85 day-of). VIP tickets include access to a VIP lounge in the clubhouse and a buffet.
Community Appreciation Weekend to honor the residents and business of Barrington. Residents and businesses of Barrington will enjoy free admission during the weekend when they reserve tickets online at www.arlingtonpark.com. Park goers should use coupon code - BARRINGTON in the "apply discount" section when purchasing each set of tickets.
