Arlington Park First-Day Ticket Sales Brisk
First-day ticket sales were brisk for many of Arlington Park's major race days as the track's entire inventory for the 2010 season went on sale Thursday, April 1, both at the track's Website (www.arlingtonpark.com) and over the telephone.
As would be expected, the track's signature days - May 1 "Chicagoland's Largest Derby Party"; May 9 Mother's Day; June 20 Father's Day; July 3 "Racing, Music & Fireworks"; and Aug. 21 Arlington Million Day - were those that enjoyed the most first-day ticket sales.
"I was very pleased with first-day sales," said Jen Welding, Arlington Park Director of Sales. "The phone lines were lit up most of the day and our online ticketing allowed many guests to make their own box seat purchases and enjoy the savings for purchasing online."
For the first time in 2010, all box seat ticket purchases include general admission. By purchasing an executive or standard box seat, guests can experience the best view of Arlington Park for the best value and purchasing these packages result in a savings from $1 to $6 over the a la carte pricing, plus those who purchased online enjoyed an additional $2 savings on the general admission price.
Online ticketing is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week while the track's admission office (847-385-7427) and restaurant reservation line (847-385-7410) are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
