Informed Decision 7-2 Second Choice in Filly & Mare Sprint
Augustin Stable's Informed Decision has been installed as the 7-2 second choice in the $1 million Sentient Jet Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf on Friday at Churchill Downs. Rinterval (20-1), who finished second to Informed Decision in the Chicago ‘Cap, has also been pre-entered for the Filly & Mare Sprint.
The 14-race $26 million Breeders' Cup World Championships is scheduled for Friday and Saturday in Louisville.
Prominent among other Arlington-raced Breeders Cup runners are Beverly D. winner Éclair de Lune, who is listed at 15-1 in the Grade I $2 million Emirates Airline Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf; Beverly D. runner-up Hot Cha Cha (30-1); the 2008 Filly & Mare Turf champion Forever Together (10-1), who made her turf debut that year by taking the Reluctant Guest Stakes here; and Keertana (30-1) , who broke her maiden at Arlington Park in Sept. 2008.
Grade I Arlington Million hero Debussy is listed at 10-1 in the $3 million Emirates Airline Breeders' Cup Turf. Among the other horses entered for the Turf are 2008 Secretariat Stakes (Grade I) winner Winchester (8-1); and the one-time Arlington-based Telling (20-1), a regular performer over the Arlington turf in 2008-09.
2010 Secretariat victor Paddy O'Prado (15-1) was entered for the $5 million Breeders' Cup Classic, where he will have to face the undefeated Zenyatta.
Chamberlain Bridge, who captured the Arlington Sprint here, is a 6-1 co-second choice in the field of 15 horses entered for the $1 million Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint. Two other horses with Arlington running lines have been entered for the Turf Sprint - Stradivinsky (10-1), who won a $35,000 claiming race here in May before being claimed in his next start at Churchill Downs; and Due Date (15-1), who finished off the board in an allowance race here in 2008.
Arlington-Washington Futurity (Grade III) victor Major Gain came up with a fever Tuesday morning and was not entered in the $1 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf however Rough Sailing (15-1), a maiden winner here at first asking Aug. 8; and Willcox Inn (20-1), another first-asking maiden winner on Sept. 18, did pass the entry box for the one mile turf race.
Gio Ponti, the 2009 Million winner who was second to Debussy in this year's renewal, was pre-entered in both the Classic and the $2 million TVG Breeders' Cup Mile but opted to run in the Mile where he is listed as the 4-1 second choice behind two-time defending champion Goldikova.
Acoma (20-1), seventh in this year's Beverly D., will return to dirt racing as one of a 11 distaffers entered for the $2 million Breeders' Cup Ladies' Classic.
The locally based Mad Flatter (12-1), third in the Grade III Washington Park Handicap after winning an allowance race at a one-turn flat mile, is the lone Arlington Park representative in the $1 Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile.
Jordy Y (30-1), runner-up in the Grade III Arlington-Washington Lassie after two wins here, drew the 13 post in the $2 million Grey Goose Juvenile Fillies.
Giant Oak, winner of the 2009 Arlington Classic and more recently runner-up in this year's Grade III Washington Park Handicap, is the 4-1 second choice in the $500,000 Breeders' Cup Marathon while Gabriel's Hill, who shows an off-the-board finish in a 2007 allowance race here, is a 20-1 outsider in the 1 3/4-mile race.
