Miller Lite Party in the Park Returns for 2008 Season

Once again this summer, Arlington Park will be "the place to be" to kick off weekends with the Miller Lite Party in the Park on Friday afternoons beginning May 2, opening day, through Sept. 19.

The Miller Lite Party in the Park features a combination of live music from top local bands, the excitement of live Thoroughbred racing and Miller Lite beer specials. In addition, Arlington fans who join Club Miller Lite and come back often enough can earn prizes such as Chicago White Sox tickets and all new Miller Lite merchandise for frequent visits.

The popular summer program kicks off Arlington Park's opening weekend festivities, Friday, May 2 with live '90s rock music by I.R.S. Post time on Fridays all season is 2:30 p.m.

Throughout the season, local radio personalities will also make appearances, along with additional promotional events at the Miller Lite Party in the Park.

Live radio broadcasts at the park are open to the public and will include:

  • Friday, June 20, July 25 and Aug.15 -- Jim Lynam and Alan Cox of Q-101.1
  • Friday, July 25 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. -- WUSN's Drew Walker will broadcast his radio afternoon show from the track.
  • Friday, Sept. 12 -- "80's Flashback at the Track" with JACK-FM.

Whether you like classic rock, alternative or blues music, Miller Lite Party in the Park has something for everyone. The complete Party in the Park band schedule follows:
