Five handicappers booked their tickets to Las Vegas, Saturday, September 6th, at Arlington Park in the NTRA/DRF National Handicapping Contest Qualifier. Mark Everhart from Federal Way, WA took top spot and the $14,000 first place price with an ending bankroll of $125.20. In second place, Joe Scanio of Brooklyn, NY, ended with a $108.20 balance to take home $7,500 in price moeny. Scanio had previously qualified for the the NTRA Championship, and thus his Las Vegas berth was awarded to sixth place finisher Marc Josefowicz of Cary, IL. Rounding out the top six were Mayer Kanter of Sioux City, IA ($107.60), Kevin Kerns of Westchester, IL ($99.80), and Robert Gary of Arlington Heights, IL ($99.40).
