Name The Foal

If you want to try your hand at naming a prospective Derby winner and enjoying a special day at the races, then the ITBOF annual Name the Foal Contest is right up your alley. Once again the ITBOF is partnering with Arlington Park to make a wonderful experience for the lucky winning contestant.

This year the Name the Foal contest kicks off on June 19. The 2010 candidate foals for unique names are energetic and fun to watch. Each filly has shown break away speed and agility surpassing their chums out in the pastures.

The Arlington Park filly was born on April 16, 2010, owned by Tower Farms. She is very correct, smart and personable. The farm looks forward to her having a successful racing career, as well as, one as a future broodmare.

Belong to Me is a sire of 131 stakes horses, 10 Grade-1 winners and 11 stakes winners in 2009. Belong to Me is the Broodmare sire of Lookin at Lucky, winner of the 2010 Preakness. Catarella is the dam of recent winners at Hawthorne, Leading Indicator (Bold Revenue) and Gage Park (Ecton Park). Her sire Forest Wildcat is a Grade 1 winning sire of G1 winners D'Wildcat, Forest Secrets, Wildcat Heir, etc. Second dam Cantarella is by Icecapade, sire of 73 stakes winners including Wild Again and Clever Trick.
