Special Events

Throughout the year, Arlington Park hosts a number of cultural, lifestyles, and racing events. In 2008, Arlington Park is proud to introduce a number of new and unique events that will continue to establish the facility as a premiere entertainment destination.

Name the Foal Contest - July 4 - August 15
Arlington Park & The Illinois Throughbred Breeders and Owners Foundation present Name the Foal Contest. Participants will have the opportunity to name one Colt and one Filly. Entries will be accepted through August 15th, 2008.

Ladies Day - September 6
Ladies take center stage at Arlington Park on September 6 both on and off the racecourse. Fillies will take to the racecourse in a pair of graded stakes races and ladies in attendance will be treated to an afternoon of spa treatments, special giveaways, and an opportunity to sport their fashion hats.

Barrington Concours D'Elegance at Arlington Park - October 5
Arlington Park hosts the second ever Barrington Concours D'Elegance on October 5. Arlington Park has made a special exception to showcase the Concours automobiles on the turf course, and will use the Paddock area for the Concours awards ceremony. Proceeds from the event support the Barrington Area Conservation Trust and Hospice of Northeastern Illinois.
