Boy Scouts 100th Anniversary
Celebrate 100 years of the Boy Scouts of America at Arlington Park Sunday, July 4th!
Arlington Park is proud to host the Boy Scouts of America's Northwest Suburban Council of Illinois in their centennial celebration! July 4th will be a day to remember as nearly 50 Scout packs. units, and groups will converge to bring the Boy Scout experience to all Arlington Park guests. Featured throughout the day will be special Boy Scout ceremonies in the winner's circle as well as over 15 activities and booths open to the public. These include:

Among the day’s highlights will be a parade featuring nearly 50 units of area Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venture Scouts that will be followed by a special guest speaker, U. S. Army Retired Sgt. 1st Class Sammy Davis, a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient for his heroic service under fire during the Vietnam War. The parade will start in the
Another major highlight will be the NWSC Pinewood Derby Championship where all district winners will compete in this annual event. In addition, there will be a Pinewood Derby open race in the park area, open to all children and parents.
Additionally, as a staple of Family Day at Arlington Park, Pony Rides and a Petting Zoo will be available for all guests within the park.
General admission for adults is $6 online in advance and $8 at the gate. Children 17 and under are always free.
