Chicago Symphony Orchestra Day at the Races

Saturday, May 8th Arlington Park will be filled with music and surprises at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's Day at the Races.

Enjoy performances by Members of the world-renowned Chicago Symphony Orchestra; the Civic Orchestra - the training orchestra of the CSO; and the Chicago Symphony Chorus.

Kids and families will have fun participating in a variety of engaging hands-on musical activities offered by the Institute for Learning, Access and Training.

Join us in the park for:

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Conductor's Corner - Kids can "wield the baton" and experience the power of music-making

12:00 pm - 5:00 pm: Instrument Petting Zoo (provided by Quinlan & Fabish Music Company) - Children of all ages can explore how musical instruments work

4:15 pm - 5:00 pm: Composer's Corner - Kids are invited to get their creative juices flowing in this unique composing workshop

Plus-Catch live performances throughout the day at the entrance gates and in the Winner's Circle!

Gates open at 11:15 AM; First post at 1:00 PM.
