Arlington Park continues in its efforts to promote fan education with a series of four 'Learn to Win' seminars to be held during the month of October at its Trackside Off-Track Wagering facility located inside Shooter's Bar & Grill at Don Carter Lanes on State Street.

Hosted by racing analyst Brian W. Spencer, these informal sessions will take place at the following dates and times:

Thursday, October 6 from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Thursday, October 6 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Thursday, October 13 from 9:30-10:30 p.m.
Saturday, October 15 from 11 a.m. until Noon

Spencer will teach those in attendance the basics of reading the racing program as well as how to construct wagers that give them the best chance to be successful at the races. In addition, they will answer any questions that attendees may have when it comes to handicapping races.

"Hands on education that's what the 'Learn to Win' series is all about," said Spencer, who also writes comments for Arlington Park's official track program. "For the casual fan, the track program and betting windows can be intimidating. To grow the fan base, we need to give the fans at all the levels the means to learn. With knowledge comes interest. Arlington Park and the team at Trackside Rockford 'get' that."

Advance registration is requested. Interested people can register in person at the Don Carter Lanes bowling counter or at the Trackside OTB wagering window, or online at
