Churchill Downs Incorporated ("Churchill Downs") (NASDAQ: CHDN) announced today that Roy Arnold, who since April 2006 has served as president of Arlington Park and its network of Trackside off-track betting facilities, has resigned from the company effective immediately.

"I've had a great experience at Arlington Park and I am very proud of our accomplishments," Arnold said. "That said, I've been here 4 ½ years and I really want to explore new challenges and opportunities. I wish the Arlington Park team the absolute best and am confident their future is bright."

"We are deeply appreciative of Roy's contributions to Arlington Park and to Churchill Downs, and we respect his plans to pursue other career interests," said Bill Carstanjen, chief operating officer of CDI. "His strategic and operational skills will serve him well in his future endeavors."

Arnold will serve as a consultant to Churchill Downs for a transition period.

No successor to Arnold will be announced at this time.
