ARLINGTON INTERNATIONAL RACECOURSE RESPONSE TO GOVERNOR PRITZKER’S GUIDANCE ON CANCELLATIONS OF EVENTS EXCEEDING 250 ATTENDEES
Illinois Governor Pritzker addressed the state at 5PM CT March 12th, and provided additional guidelines and regulations to the state’s response to COVID-19. Among the recommendations included the mandate to cancel or postpone any events that exceed 250 attendees until May 1st. In addition, the Governor addressed the sporting and entertainment industry and asked that all major sporting events with large spectator crowds be cancelled until May 1st. This includes school and college events as well as major league sporting events.
Honoring the Governor’s recommendations, effective immediately, the Chicagoland Pet Expo (March 20-22), Binny’s Wine Expo (April 4), and the Easter Egg Hunt & Breakfast with the Easter Bunny (April 11) are cancelled. All guests with pre-purchased tickets to the Binny’s Wine Expo, Easter Egg Hunt, or Breakfast with the Easter Bunny will receive a full refund within 30 days. We hope to re-schedule select events in the upcoming months.
In regards to the 2020 racing season beginning on May 1st, we will continue to follow the guidance of federal, state, and local officials regarding COVID-19.
