FAQS: Live Racing Resumes July 23

Q: What will the race meet schedule be?
A: The 2020 race meet will begin without spectators on July 23rd racing three days a week Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays with 2PM post times through September 30th.

Q: Will the entire meet be conducted without spectators?
A: At this time, the meet will be conducted without spectators.  As the state of Illinois moves into different phases of the restoration plan and State officials determine spectators may be permitted, Arlington will keep their loyal fans updated on any revised plans as soon as more information is available. 

Q: Will there be any special events?
A: No, the original 2020 promotional calendar has been revised to reflect no special events to adhere to non-spectator racing.

Q: I want to book a group outing, can I?
A: At this time, the meet will be conducted without spectators.  As the state of Illinois moves into different phases of the restoration plan and State officials determine spectators may be permitted along with modified options for group bookings, Arlington will keep their loyal fans updated on any revised plans as soon as more information is available. 

Q: I booked a group outing for the 2020 season, what happens now?
A: All previously booked group outings will receive a full refund automatically, no further action is required.  In the event that Arlington is permitted to allow limited spectators, modified group bookings may be available. Arlington will keep their loyal fans updated on any revised plans as soon as more information is available.

Q: I purchased tickets for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Fireworks Night – now what?
A: Those with tickets pre-purchased for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Fireworks Night will receive a full refund automatically within 10-15 business days, no further action is required.

Q: I’m a horseman/woman, and I need more details on COVID-19 training and racing protocols, where can I find them?
A: Please visit the Horsemen Information Page for more information.

Q: What OTBs are currently open?
A: Trackside Arlington, Hodgkins, Hoffman Estates and Villa Park are open for a socially distanced wagering experience.  Updates on further re-openings will be provided soon.

Q: I purchased tickets for Derby Day, now what?
A: At this time, the meet will be conducted without spectators. All tickets pre-purchased for Kentucky Derby Day, September 5th (originally May 2nd), will receive a full refund automatically within 10-15 business days, no further action required.  If State officials determine spectators may be permitted, new tickets can be purchased at that time. Arlington will keep their loyal fans updated on any revised plans as soon as more information is available. 

Q: When is the Arlington Million?
A: The Arlington Million and Beverly D Stakes (nor it’s undercard stakes races) will be run in 2020.

Q: Will the Arlington Handicapping Challenge still be conducted on July 18th?
A: No, the Arlington Handicapping Challenge has been cancelled for 2020.
